LGBTQ Supreme Court Ruling

On Monday, the supreme court ruled in favor of a landmark civil rights law, that protects gay and transgender workers from workplace discrimination. Up until June 15th, it was legal in more than half of the states to fire workers for being gay, bisexual or transgender.

My first reaction was surprise. Living in California, I had no idea that 1/2 of the states still had that authority. Another reminder that America isn't where we need to be, but this is a step in the right direction and a landmark achievement for the LGBTQ community.
